Kennet and Avon Canal
The Kennet and Avon Canal links London with the Bristol Channel, and passes through spectacular landscapes including Wiltshire and the rolling Cotswolds.
In 1724 the River Kennet was made navigable from Reading to Newbury, and by 1727, boats could reach as far as Bath.
Today, visitors can enjoy boating, walking and cycling along the peaceful towpaths and spend a family weekend at this beautiful waterway.
The Kennet and Avon Canal is only 45 minutes by car from the hotel.
